There was the sound of anti aircraft reports coming from the shoreline on Mary's pond today. The allies claimed to have downed a Japanese "Emily" float plane. This was confirmed as the wreckage was found in the trees along the North East Shoreline. No lives were lost.

Well, not really. Bob Pacheco put his Emily in a tree and about 5 of us taking a couple hours got it down. It took it hard but not as hard as it could have. It is fixable and he will be doing it over the winter.

Oh my!... glad he was able to retreive it...
That "Emily" is certainly built to take a bit of punishment! ;)

Emily is 95% repaired now. I have all the creases and branch dings repaired along ith a cracked wing. It is ready to repaint now. It actually looks very good again. Foam planes are very strong and resiliant. Thu-is plane has had some bad crashes and it still survives. Try that with wood.

Mary's Pond was used Tuesday by Bob P Ed Goulart, and Gerry. All fights went well. Possibly another return to fly on this coming weekend.

I got some more finish sanding done today. I am just doing small amounts now on the plane because it is end of season. I have enough to fly for now. I am almost ready to paint. I like the Forum very much. Now if we can only make this the regular mail exchange.
