Check out http://www.3dprintlabs.com. I saw a video.of a 3d printed P38 Lightning . All panels and ribs are 3d printed,
The end result is amazing, and they do fly well.
I just updated my 3d printer and I am going to attempt to build the Piper Pawnee
Here is a video of the 3d printed P38
Now you can 3D print an r/c aircraft

I started to print out the parts for a Piper Pawnee Cub
After watching the FliteTest video it got me motivated to upgrade my 3D printer, purchase plans from 3dlabprint, and build a 3d printed airplane
to test at the farm. Here's a photo of the printer in action
Here's a photo of the parts I've printed so far. I have 30 more parts to print before I start the assembly.

Re: Now you can 3D print an r/c aircraft
I saw the P38 Lightning at the Joe Knoll meet in 2017. It was pretty to look at. I found it maybe on the weighty side. It flew well but had to fly fast to stay airborne. This made for hot landings. I do not know if it had flaps either.
