As a dedicated coffee drinker myself, I would have to agree that a couple of "coffee breaks" in between flying on a chilly winters day is DEFINITELY what the doctor ordered! 8-)

I have got to say that this past Saturday was one of the best days flying I've had in years. Lots of great members, lots of great sunshine, great lack of wind, and great camaraderie. It was great to see Bob Violett getting in lots of airtime both with his own trainer and on Jon Bier's cub. Lots of good kidding and joking too. I thing we might have had 4-5 planes in the air at one time. As far as the coffee, I already bought last week sometime for the whole field. Somebody else's turn now! LOL

Addison and I will be flying tomorrow (Monday) if anyone else cares to join us. Winds should be around 5 to 7mph and about 40 degrees. A little cold for my taste but it's only gonna get colder so I mine as well take advantage of it. 8-)

I am entertaining the idea. But, I have a visitor coming to pick up something who knows when. That may stop that idea.

Sunday Jan 13th
Mostly Cloudy

High 49°

Low 36°

Mostly Cloudy

Chance of rain:
20%

Wind:
SSW at 8 mph
--------------------------------

If these statistics hold true until then, i'll probably be flying at the field if all the snow has melted.

I'm loving these mild January temperatures that we seem to be getting.
Hmmmm.... "global warming", maybe a GOOD thing? ;)

Flew my IFO in the yard today. Beautiful day with 3mph wind. Finished my new homebuilt wing also. Test maybe tomorrow locally. May fly a couple on Wednesday at field just for the helluvit. Flying Friday indoors at Auburn sports. May fly Saturday at field and who knows maybe even Sunday. Road testing more planes for indoor flights too. I may build another also if the wing is to hairy for the indoors. I think it will be great in Auburn indoors once the bugs are out. It is a big field indoors

My planes don't usually have landing gear so snow does not bother me. I think some of my DF planes would just skid through it anyway.

Anyone going flying this weekend? Weather will be in the low 60s and winds between 7mph Saturday and 10mph Sunday.
Great weekend for some flying!
