In my comment I reminded the FAA they already have a tool to help assure safety, it's called LAANC. I also recommended permanently adding all AMA registered airfields to LAANC. I also informed them that many hobbyist, including myself fly light weight airplanes under 2lbs that do not have enough lift and flight battery to carry a micro transponder.
